The objective of this call is to develop:
  • Reliable and cost-effective solutions for producing clean and safe drinking water at community level
  • Reliable, rapid and cost-effective monitoring techniques for the detections of water contaminants
  • Cost-effective low energy technologies for treatment of municipal and household wastewater including disposal of sludge/energy recovery from sludge
  • Techniques for online pathogen monitoring for safe reuse of treated water for intended application

Partner search for EU funded project - SWITCH ASIA PROGRAMME

PROFILE:

  • Not-for-profit intermediary (business) organisations and networks (e.g. chambers of commerce or industry associations)
  • Not-for-profit organisations aiming at pursuing sustainable development
  • Governmental institutions at the regional and local level
The project deals with new technologies for sustainable energy (e.g for buildings) or fuel production from organic compost/biological waste.


PARTNERS MUST BE FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES:
Afganistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Chinese Taipei), India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, DPR Korea, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam

EU GRANT FUND FOR STRENGTHENING JOINT EUROPEAN S&T CENTRES IN INDIA


DEADLINE: MARCH 13TH, 2011.
INDICATIVE BUDGET : 250.000 € for each project.

BENEFICIARIES:
The eligible joint institutes must be the result of institutional arrangements based on a bilateral or multilateral agreement, contract or memorandum of understanding between at least one partner – government, ministry or a research organisation – of an EU Member State or Associated Country with a counterpart in INDIA. The eligible joint centre is an organisation, which is an independent legal entity established in India, whose aim is to facilitate joint science and innovation related activities through co-funding of projects.

The  goal is to support the opening of the institutional arrangement of joint centres funded by one or several Member States and Associated Countries and located in India.
The activity does not aim at regrouping existing liaison offices, which purpose is to promote national research programmes or organisations from the Member States or Associated countries.
It targets joint centres, which aims are to promote collaborative research programmes in fundamental and applied sciences between one or several Member State or Associated Countries and one third country through co-funding mechanisms.
The objective of the activity is to prepare the way for opening the institutional arrangement of the joint centres to additional European organisations thus helping Member States and Associated Countries develop coordinated activities with third countries
